Jason on July 22nd, 2008Just recently a good friend of mine Kyle Tomek and I went down to Port Mansfield on a fishing trip. admin on April 10th, 2008On today’s show we have Benny Landrum with his report from the Texas Redfish Series tournament in Corpus Christi. Benny and his partner, Scott Null, had a strong week of pre-fishing before weather changed their plans but still managed to land a redfish on tournament day. In addition to the report, he offers up some good advice on targeting reds both in the flats and bay. Some of the topics covered include color selection and how to work the lures he is using. Benny also has a nice tip for changing out the hooks on your topwater lures, and other modifications to make that might give you that extra edge.

The girls had been pre-fishing for the tournament in Corpus Christi since the first weekend in February so when tourney time came we would be prepared for the event. Friday’s pre-fishing was tough due to a small front coming through. We kept on driving from spot
