February Fishing Report from Captain Kyle Tomek

If big speckled trout are what you target, then November through January are months to remember. Trips have ranged from drifting and wading in waters from East Matagorda Bay to the back bays of West Matagorda Bay. There are countless fishing trips that I would consider highlights.
Jake Brown of Brown Lures joined me the day after a big December cold front. We hunkered down and fished in 30mph winds and consistently caught fish. The Pearl/Chart and Plumtreuse Brown Lures produced fantastic numbers of speckled trout

Jeff Hellekson - Baffin Big Girl

Christmas came quite early for seasoned angler Jeff Hellekson. Jeff was fishing Baffin Bay using a Rootbeer Sea Devil when he stumbled upon these monsters. The first photo is his new personal best, a 29.5″ 8.5lbs. speckled trout. The other two trout came in at 26″ 6.5lbs and 24″ 4.5lbs respectively.
