Link Roundup - Matagorda Fishing and Facebook Friends

Feb 19, 2012
A switch was flipped somewhere in the last few weeks, and the fishing has really turned on. All at once we've been getting great reports from customers, seeing a lot of great photos on Facebook and hearing great things from local fishing guides. Capt. Danno Wise-Update

Fishing has remained steady in the Lower Laguna Madre over the past week, despite unseasonally high winds. Decent numbers of keeper specks have been found around Community Bar, Submarine Bar and Long Bar, as well as along the edges of the ICW. Given the off-colored water resulting from the high winds, glow and Black Cat have been the top colors. Fair catches have also been taken near Airport Cove and South Cullen Bay. Reds have been scattered over Gas Well Flats and near the Drum Boat.
