We would like to introduce you to the newest member of the Brown family, the Flappin' Devil.
This special lure has been in the works for more than a year now. We have taken our time to make sure everything on it worked just right, from the tail action to the sink rate to casting ability. We spent a lot of time and field testing just to get the balance where we wanted it, and now we feel pretty confident that the Flappin' Devil is one of the best "paddle tail" type lures around.
It should really shine when stalking redfish, but it's also a versatile lure that will work for other fish like speckled trout and flounder--we even managed to catch a few bass with it.
Why is this lure so special? For starters, the "foot" or paddle tail gives it a very unique and easy to control action. Out of all the fishing lures we have ever made, this is the easiest to work. You don't have to do much more than reel it in, the tail will do all the hard work, kicking back and forth to send out tons of little vibrations through the water. Even the head of the lure helps because it is shaped to "wobble" and send out even more vibrations, all of which tell gamefish that there is something to snack on nearby.
On top of all that, we gave the Flappin' Devil our trademark "big eye" so that it stands out even more. Add in some of our best colors like Plumtreuse and the new Glow and you have a lure that is sure to produce this spring.
The Flappin' Devil is now available through select locations. We have a limited quantity available online and will be supplying Fishing Tackle Unlimited and Academy Sports + Outdoors this week. Our other retailers should be supplied soon depending on when they order.
