I finally had an evening trip this week with two clients. The clients couldn’t cast for beans at the beginning, but after a few lessons and practice…they were way better at hitting our target areas. Rigged with a Pink Hologram Devil Eye on a 1/16 oz. TruLoc jighead, we wanted to work the baits slowly with a slight up and down action to start with. The larger trout were lying in the potholes on top of the flats, there weren’t as many of them but they were quality fish. They ended up with 14 speckled trout and plenty of action with a lot of throw-backs…not bad for a 3 ½ hour trip!

We just made a delivery of lures to FTU, and they are hosting a special “Shimano Days” event today and tomorrow so this would be a good chance to check out what’s new with Shimano AND stock up on some much needed Devil Eyes.

Yet another Big Trout report from Captain Aubrey Black in Baffin Bay Texas. Aubrey has been bringing in some monster trout while wadefishing, as well as some nice redfish. Hot lures for him have been the Brown Lures Devil Eye in Rootbeer, Pink Lemonade and Dark Strawberry.
