Devil Eye - Pink Hologram

This is another one of our better "contrast" lures, like the Gecko. Going along with the same paint scheme as the Pink Hologram SOLO this new Devil Eye gets a pink airbrushed back and all three glitter types. Pink is an excellent color for all water types. This one is definitely an eye-catcher, and already a favorite among our lady anglers.

On Saturday morning I had the pleasure of fishing with Paul Braly Sr., aka “Seine Net” (because that’s what it feels like your fishing behind if he gets in front of you). Dad is a second generation fisherman with his father (my late grandad) being a great surf fisherman. We tied on some Pink Hologram Devil Eyes with TruLock 1/16 oz jigs and got underway down our shoreline. A few minutes into our wade we started poppin some 18-20″ trout and the the ‘ole seine net next to me doubled up on a pig.

On saturday the tide was falling pretty good so we took off for the backside of San Jose island to hit the cuts where the back lakes drain into Aransas Bay. Sure enough some redfish where sitting outside the cuts. From now on until spring you need to go to mud bottoms mixed with shell. It is cold, the fish are cold and they are not going to move around like they do in the fall or summer.

We just made a delivery of lures to FTU, and they are hosting a special “Shimano Days” event today and tomorrow so this would be a good chance to check out what’s new with Shimano AND stock up on some much needed Devil Eyes.
