Baffin Bay fishing report and videos with Capt. Aubrey Black

We just got back from a fun day of fishing in Baffin Bay with Captain Aubrey Black. Aubrey called us up earlier in the week and said the fishing was on so my brother, father and I drove down Thursday night for a shot at a few big fish on Friday. The topwater bite was on early as right out of the boat Aubrey hooked up with a 28″ redfish. We all started throwing lures on the top and Jake hooked up with this nice trout that we managed to get some film of.

Kayak Tournament Reports, Texas FishCast & more

Well, it’s been a bit chilly here lately but spring is coming. We’re all hoping to get in that last cold wadefishing trip in search of what our buddy Mr. Shupe calls “The Holy Grail” of Texas inshore fishing. For those of you stuck behind a desk we have a new fishing website for you to check, plus some news and reports from both Team Blue Heron Adventures and Team 4-Play from the recent Third Coast Kayak Series Tournament held in Corpus Christi, Texas. The Houston Fishing Show is also coming up real soon and we will be there with Fishing Tackle Unlimited so if you get a chance stop on by to see us.

I joined up with my teammate, Capt. Steve Utley of Blue Heron Adventures guide service, for a morning of fishing last Friday. We were pre-fishing for the Third Coast Kayak Series in Corpus Christi. It was to be the first of five tournaments scheduled for the year… Steve led me to a quiet pocket a short distance away, and within minutes of our arrival I was hooked up on a nice keeper class redfish.
